bowers museum

the bowers museum

The bowers museum was made and founded by a French dancer and her husband the reason behind this was that they couldn’t have kids so they decided on a this museum would be there child because of their love of art so they began collecting bits and pieces whilst the museum was under construction they had set it out to look like a manor house witch confuses most people I was one of them.

the bowers museum is known best for the silver swan it was one of the first peace's to be purchest and shown in the museum the silver swan is a sight to behold but if thinking of going to see the silver swan you haft go at specific times due to the age of the silver swan it only moves at set times due to the age of the swan the original bottom that looks like a bath tub was the original encasing for the silver swans mechanisms made of full brass but it has warn down due to the age and with the moving peaises they have waraway the sides but they keep it on display to show people what was used back then and it has some parts along with it that have been replaced in the silver swan so to give you a glimps of some of the workings that goes on inside a woundefull peace and if you get a chance to go I sugest you do if only for the silver swan alown.

the three peaces bellow are also on show at the bowers museum out of the hole trip I found these three were my favrets the annunciation and adoration altarpiece I like due to the amount of detail the have managed to put into sutch a small peace it realy inspires me for what I would like to do in the futcher making peaces that just have such defining feachers no matter the size.
the peace Madame d' Arbelles and her son 1808 realy spoke to me im still un sure why but it is one of my favrets just due to the fact that it cault my eye witch rearly hapons.
the peace an Italian girl with a tambourine is another painting that caught my eye I think what I like about the peaces is there is a sens of her being caught off gard this is hard to do aspechaly in a painting but its captered that moment perfectly so that she is surprised but yet carys on playing but uthere than that Im unsuer what It is about this painting that caught my eye.

 robot chicken
robot chicken is a stop moshen TV series meant to take the mick out of other cartoons and TV series and movies. robot chicken was created by Seth Green Matthew Senreich Mike Fasolo and started in 2005 I like robot chicken not just because of the hummer but also because of how well they've done the stop moshoen and its not just a set age program people from 15 to 80 year olds watch robot chicken.

caricature

caricatures

the clay head was made from a original drawing on the left this was my first caricature I was happy with because compared to the original designs it looks a lot more like a caricature should in my opinion we moved on to the clay peace the shape of the head was easy enough adding the detailing was the tricky part trying to get all the peace's in proportion to how they were in the pitcher so I did the nose and glasses separate then put them on after the head was on the neck I added the teeth by putting on a separate piece of clay then moulding it on to the face then making the indent for the teeth and lips the hair both head and facial were last I rolled the head hair shaped it and put it on the facial hear was simple scoring to add that detail.

full body caricature

After working on my first caricature Norman asked us to start work on head and bodies so I took a photo of a night out with my mates and edited little bits and put them into caricature form this led to the peace below with I am currently working on putting couler to it because my flat mates and I liked it that some of them want it for there profile pics are just to post them selves on there social networks.

the drawings below are also from nights out with friend I felt that out of all my pics night out ones were the best because there more vibrant and full of life rather then just a stand and say cheese job were there stiff and not as full of life.

student designs pices that uses blood as a power source

Naomi Kizhner

Naiomi Kizhner a student in Israeli came up with an ingenious idea of using your blood as a power source to charge your phone and other things the machines rely on your blood movement so the faster the blood the more energy created she made these machines and had them implanted she said that this is to spark a discussion on how far people would go for to produce energy the three peace's are called the blinker, the e-pulse conductor and the blood bridge. the peace's are apparently perfectly safe this was to spark a conversation on how far we would go for are addiction but in my opinion for me I don't see a addiction I see a opportunity in to new and ground braking technology and no just pass it of as something inn a movie.

October jones's work inspiration

October jones's work inspiration
October jones's work I came across his work on Facebook I like this art due to its originality but also its simplicity that he just draws on a postinote and it becomes an amusing piece of art and that's why I found it to be so interesting and possibly use it as inspiration in my own work.

being earnist 3D model

Being earnest 3D model
I made this peace from the research I had done on being earnest I chose the wood panelling because I thought it looked more elegant and clean compared to the wall paper that looked as if it had been deprived of life no being vibrant also the amount of detail you can get in old Victorian panels far exceeds any wall paper even now I think I like it because of the craft are just the 3D aspect of detailing you can put into wood panelling that made me go for it over the traditional paint are wall paper.

The pitchers bellow have been taken from Google as reference pictures to get a feel for the time that being Ernest was made for these pitchers really helped with the wood panelling that was in the room and the diversity because no two Victorian wood panel rooms are the same they have different aspects of it the one bellow was a huge influence in my choice and design ideas because of the detailing and how the room just looks like one piece even the items and furniture make the room not just how it has been set out.

These pieces are reference peaces only and this was collected for Norman Austick’s class
The card model was the result of Norman Austick’s class and these reference peaces.

Jurassic park inspiration

Jurassic park inspiration
my interests in animatronics was inspired by movies like Jurassic park were you make a giant mechanical dinosaur then are able to film it then re edit the footage to then make it look as if real because of the animation detailing that went along with the architectural construct this really interested me into the props area of movies especially when you get to make giant mechanical monsters that will be in the hearts of children even as they get older.
